Memberships 2024:
Have an abundance of vegetables harvested from your backyard garden that you want to share with others at a later date?
Deep Roots Food Hub has a winter storage solution for you!
We are currently accepting memberships for the 2024/2025 storage season. The season runs from November 1/2024 to April 1/2025.
Membership options:
1) Supporter - $15
• receive priority access to DRFH events and workshops throughout the year
• receive regular DRFH newsletter updates
• voting rights at the DRFH AGM
2) Gardener - $20
• up to 200lbs or 4 harvest bins (38 litre bin) of Root Cellar storage
• includes an introductory tour of the DRFH Root Cellar and property at 230 Davidson’s Side Road Ottawa.
• receive priority access to DRFH events and workshops throughout the year
• receive regular DRFH newsletter updates
• voting rights at the DRFH AGM
3) Grower - $40
• up to 500lbs or 10 harvest bins (38 litre bin) of Root Cellar storage
• includes benefits of Gardener membership
• voting rights at the DRFH AGM
4) Producer - $100
• up to 1500lbs or 30 harvest bins (38 litre bin) of Root Cellar storage
• includes benefits of Gardener membership
• voting rights at the DRFH AGM
Please note: voting members must be at least 18 years of age.
ABOUT US: The Deep Roots Food Hub (DRFH) is a non-profit, grassroots organization made up of local farmers, market gardeners, health professionals, business people and residents of West Carleton. We are committed to creating a more secure and sustainable food system in our communities. Through collaborations with a variety of community partners we are working to launch programs that will make it easier for West Carleton residents to access, grow, and sell affordable, healthy food.
